Soil Stabilization

Environmental Impact

No aggregate transport, no asphalt cooking, no open quarry: soil stabilization is the lowest-carbon road option.

Midwest Industrial Supply, Inc. technology · Canton, Ohio · Since 1975

Overview

An asphalt pavement represents 60–100 kg CO2 per m². An in-place stabilized pavement can go down to 15–20 kg — a 4× to 6× reduction.

For every project we deliver a comparative carbon report, usable in your ESG disclosures.

Our approach

An Engineered Method, Calibrated for African Terrain

Each engagement begins with soil characterization: gradation, fines content, plasticity and moisture. Traffic, climate and logistical requirements determine the formulation. Mix designs are tested in the laboratory of Midwest Industrial Supply, Inc.

Our engineers work with HSE, production and maintenance teams. Objectives are measurable: PM10 reduction, watering cycle control, transport continuity and operating costs.

The 30-day trial provides performance data from your site. Bearing-capacity measurements, traffic counts and air sampling document treatment before large-scale deployment.

Process

From Audit to Measured Performance

1. Site Diagnostic

Soil sampling, traffic counts, climate and logistics assessment for your site.

2. Formulation

Selection and dosage of the Midwest solution for the objective: soil stabilization, fines preservation or dust control.

3. Application

Controlled spreading, in-situ mixing or topical spray depending on the solution. Schedule kept.

4. Monitoring & Warranty

30-day on-site trial, dust and bearing-capacity measurements, then a multi-year performance contract.

Why Midwest Africa

A Method Designed for Infrastructure Programs

  • Midwest Industrial Supply soil science — founded in 1975, first serving mines — applied to African laterites and soils.
  • A supervised 30-day trial on your own site, co-developed with your teams before any large-scale rollout.
  • Non-toxic, biodegradable products, safe for inhabited areas and neighboring crops.
  • Performance-based contracts: we commit to measurable KPIs, not liters delivered.
